American Visa Document Pre-Check Service can save valuable time and reduce  stress. Use this service to avoid mistakes or delays. Our experienced visa specialists will review and check your scanned documents to confirm that your application is ready to be filed, and will alert you if any information needs to be corrected or if there is any missing paperwork. Please note we do not charge any additional fees for document pre-check.   

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: All Chinese consulates implemented a new procedure that now requires a pre-approval from the consulate prior to submitting the original paperwork to them for processing. Please note, pre-approval process will take 2-7 business days. There is currently no way to expedite this process.

Quick facts about visas to China:

--US citizens qualify for tourist & business visas with validity of up to 10 years, multiple entry
--AVS can process visas for all applicants nationwide regardless of jurisdiction
--China visas are valid from the date of issue. If your travel plans change after the visa is issued, you can leave earlier or delay your trip

--If your valid Chinese visa is in your expired passport, it still remains valid. Please travel with both passports (new and old) until your visa expiration date. Then you can apply for a new one. 

--You cannot apply for a new visa if you have more than 90 days of validity remaining on your current visa to China. 

TOURIST REQUIREMENTS

• Original signed passport- must have a minimum of 6mo of validity left and have 2-3 clear visa pages
  
• One passport photo 2"x 2" (must be taken within last 2-3 months)
  
• One visa application form (click here to download). Application must be typed in capital letters and all fields must be filled in (put "N/A" or "NONE" if any questions do not apply to you).
  
• One Where You Stay Form (click here to download)
  
• One AVS Order Form (click here to download)
  
• Copy of applicant's driver's license (front & back)
  
• Copy of previous Chinese visa (if your visa is in the old passport and expired, please include a copy of the visa and your old passport)
  
• NEW: ORIGINAL & Notarized copy of green card for non-US citizens or valid US visa
  
• Former Chinese citizens: if this is your first time applying for a visa to China, include your original Chinese passport, spelling of your Chinese name in Chinese characters and a copy of your Chinese ID.
  
• Dual citizens: include a copy of your naturalization certificate AND your ORIGINAL foreign passport.
  
• For children under 18: 1) original birth certificate with both parents' names; 2) application must be signed by both parents; 3) copies of parents' driver's licenses, passports and visas to China.If child is traveling without parents, original notarized letter giving permission to travel with another adult is required along with a copy of that adult's passport and Chinese visa.
  

BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS- If you already have a valid visa, you do NOT need to apply for a new one. 

• Original signed passport- must have a minimum of 1yr of validity left and have 2-3 clear visa pages

• Copy of applicant's driver's license (front & back)
  
• One business letter from US company, must be addressed to "Chinese Consulate" (click here to download sample) 
  
• One invitation letter from Chinese company, must be addressed to "Chinese Consulate" (must be on letterhead and include Chinese company's stamp & applicant's passport number and urgency of your visit)
  
• Copy of previous Chinese visa (if your visa is in the old passport and expired, please include a copy of the visa and your old passport. If your previous visa is still valid, include original old passport)
  
• NEW: ORIGINAL & Notarized copy of green card for non-US citizens or valid US visa

IMPORTANT NOTES ON PROCESSING TIMES & PROCESSING:

ONCE YOU MAIL YOUR PAPERWORK TO OUR OFFICE, THE FEES BECOME NON-REFUNDABLE. IF YOU DECIDE TO CANCEL PROCESSING AFTER WE RECEIVE YOUR PAPERWORK AND BEGIN WORKING, THE FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.

*Please include our service fee and return delivery payment or a completed air bill. Incomplete payment, incomplete applications or documents and wrong application form will cause a delay in processing the above visa application.

** The service fees are non-refundable, once we receive your documents and start processing them. Embassy fees are non-refundable once your paperwork is submitted to the Embassy. Due to the high volume of applications being submitted, the processing times may be delayed by the Passport Agency and any Embassy. While such situations are beyond our control, we will do everything possible to accommodate your trip and will notify you immediately to let you know about the status of your application.
