All procedures for children under 16, teens and lost/stolen/damaged passport applications must be submitted directly to the government. Our office can assist you in preparing all required documentation, make sure that everything is filled out correctly and provide detailed instructions on where to go to apply, how much to pay and how to track your application. 1. How do I find out when the Passport Agency will be open?
We will be updating our website regularly. Please check back often. As soon as we have a re-opening date, it will be listed on our website. You can also check State Department's website here to read more about phased approach to re-opening and see what phases different passport agencies are in.
2. I already sent my passport through the post office. Can you help me get it back faster?
If you mailed your paperwork directly to the National Passport Center for routine processing, you can call 1-877-487-2778 and request to change to expedited and pay additional $60 fee. You can check the status of your application online.
3. I have a life & death emergency and need to travel in the next 72 hours. Can I get my passport?
Life-or-death emergencies are serious illnesses, injuries, or deaths in your immediate family (parent, child, spouse, sibling, and grandparent) that require you to travel outside the United States within 72 hours (3 days). You will need to make an appointment and appear at the closest passport agency in person in order to apply. Call 1-877-487-2778 or 1-888-874-7793.
You must provide the following documents:
--A passport application with supporting documents
--Proof of the life-or-death emergency such as a death certificate, a statement from a mortuary, or a signed letter from a hospital or medical professional. Documents must be in English or translated in English.
--Proof of international travel (itinerary, ticket, reservation) specific to the emergency
